![]() It is linked to a cool feature that is supposed to tone down the sound when you are using your PC to make a phone call. There is a known issue with Windows 7 that allows applications to mute (semi-mute to low volume) the internal speakers even when it is not supposed to happen. ![]() check for s/w first - it's a likely source and hopefully easier to fix (certainly cheaper). You might see something in Control Panel -> Device Manager in your audio devices in the event of a hardware failure. You would probably getting (or seeing) error messages. You MAY have bad internal speakers - the problem might manifest itself differently.
